The robot locks in place if the surgeon looks away from the computer terminal.
The robotic instruments have a greater range of motion than the human wrist does, allowing them to be placed at the correct angle. And the robot can hold instruments more steadily than the human hand, which has fine motor movements. The robot’s
arms can get to areas of the body that are harder to reach then traditional open and laparoscopic surgery.
